Assigning composite logs to compositors

A number of calculations in the 1D model workflow require a composite log of certain log type. These composite logs are created using the Log Composition form as part of the 1D model workflow, in the Well View and can also be imported. On the Assign Logs form (1D Model > Log Composition > Assign Logs) you associate composite logs with a log type. When a calculation calls for a composite log of a certain log type it will use the composite log assigned in this form.

Assigning composite logs

When a log is composed as part of the 1D model workflow on the Log Composition form it is automatically assigned to the corresponding log type. For example, if you open the gamma ray compositor track via the Log Composition form and generate a composite log, it is automatically assigned to the Gamma log type in the Assign Logs form.

If you have multiple composite logs for a log type you can use the drop-down box to select which one of the composite logs should be used in the workflow. As you progress through your analysis you may find that the composite log needs to be changed or updated in some way. When making changes to a composite log, or selecting a different composite log, make sure that all of the related calculations are updated to reflect the new selection.

Show button allow you to create a dedicated Well View to see all your assigned composite logs in one view.
